Chief Patriarch of Thai Buddhist Abbot Organization (Sangha Raja) visited Burma and donates 10000 pieces of good quality robes for Burmese monks, who suffered and lost everything in Cyclone Nargis disaster.
Myanmar Military Government (Ministry of Religious Affair) received the donation and bound to distribute the things to the monks in the disastrous area. So far, most of the monks, who are in desperate condition were not received the robes yet and some monks, although can manage to get some robes, which are not the things donated by Thai Patriarch. Further worse, they received the local brand contained with used or old robes.
Somewhere in between the donor and end-user, someone swindle the things. Is Authority knows what is going on? Who’s holding the responsibility for that scandal? This is only an example case among the thousand others similar and shameful scandal.

YANGON, Myanmar: Myanmar's ruling military junta detained 13 opposition party members who called for the release of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi as she marked her 63rd birthday, witnesses said.
The 13 people were taken into a truck after dozens of Suu Kyi's supporters gathered outside the National League for Democracy party's headquarters in Yangon on Thursday, witnesses said on condition of anonymity for fear of government reprisals.
Some of those detained were punched and beaten before being taken away, they said.
The protesters shouted slogans calling for the government to immediately release Suu Kyi "who has been unfairly detained."
A Buddhist monk was also arrested, according to a government official who asked not to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the press. The circumstances of his detention were not clear.
Last month, the junta extended the house arrest of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate for a sixth year, despite international protests.
The Suu Kyi supporters dispersed Thursday — some running back into party headquarters — after more than a hundred pro-junta thugs approached in six trucks.
Security was tight around both the party headquarters and near her home, with extra barricades at both locations.
Some 40 plainclothes security officials and other pro-junta men were stationed around the headquarters.
When a group of Buddhist nuns stood outside the headquarters to pray, some security officials videotaped them.
Earlier in the day, the party celebrated Suu Kyi's birthday by offering meals to Buddhist monks at the headquarters, several miles (kilometers) from her home.
Suu Kyi offered yellow roses at Yangon's famous Shwedagon pagoda through a member of her political party.
Party member Myint Soe, who buys and brings food daily for Suu Kyi, offered 64 roses at the soaring Buddhist shrine, signifying the beginning of her 64th year, party sources said.
He also laid 64 yellow chrysanthemums at the tomb of Khin Kyi, Suu Kyi's mother and the wife of Myanmar independence hero Gen. Aung San. The tomb is located at the foot of the Shwedagon pagoda.
A neighbor said Suu Kyi spent a quiet birthday inside her lakeside compound.
"Her compound is quiet. So far no visitors have come to bless her, no monks have come to accept alms," said the neighbor, speaking on condition of anonymity for fear of government reprisals.
Suu Kyi has spent more than 12 of the last 18 years under detention. Her party swept national elections in 1990 but the ruling junta refused to honor the results.

U.N. plans massive anti-dengue operation in cyclone-hit Myanmar

YANGON, Myanmar – The United Nations plans to launch a massive anti-dengue campaign this week in cyclone-hit areas of Myanmar where mosquitoes that carry the disease have become a major concern, an official said Monday.
More than 1,700 volunteers will fan out across 22 priority areas in Yangon, Myanmar's biggest city, and the harder-hit Irrawaddy delta treating stagnant water with chemicals that will kill larva in places mosquitoes are likely to breed, said Leonard Ortega, the World Health Organization's dengue expert in Yangon.
The WHO and UNICEF are handling the operation with local aid groups. Known as the “bone-breaker disease,” dengue causes rashes, blistering headaches, nausea and excruciating joint aches.
“It is a major concern not just because this is dengue season, but because of the displacement of the population, the destruction of houses and because people are more exposed to mosquitoes,” Ortega said.
The U.N. estimates a total of 2.4 million people were affected by the May 2-3 cyclone and warns that more than 1 million of those still need help, mostly in hard-to-reach spots in the Irrawaddy delta. The cyclone killed more than 78,000 people and left another 56,000 missing.
“We fear that there will be more cases this year,” Ortega said.
So far this year, the number of cases is roughly in line with previous years, Ortega said. There were 781 cases of dengue fever reported in Yangon as of June 10, and 481 cases reported in the delta through the end of May.
The WHO has identified three cases of the most severe type of dengue that can cause internal bleeding, liver enlargement and circulatory shut down.
“We're all fearing that there could be an epidemic,” said Eric Laroche, the WHO's point man in Geneva on emergencies who is working on the Myanmar crisis.
No outbreaks of any disease have been reported since the cyclone hit, but there have been about 685 cases of pneumonia or other severe respiratory diseases reported along with more than 115 cases of bloody diarrhea, he said.
A few measles cases have been found, but Laroche said a massive immunization campaign should help to prevent outbreaks. Several million children will be vaccinated in Yangon and in the delta.
With the rainy season starting, he emphasized the need to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. So far, only 1.5 tons of mosquito-killing chemicals have arrived in Myanmar with another 5 tons waiting to be delivered from neighboring Bangkok, Thailand, he said. The remainder is in the process of being bought.
The WHO hopes to start the operation Tuesday in Yangon and continue later in the week in the delta if supplies of larvicide are available, Ortega said.
State-run media and volunteers from the Myanmar Red Cross and other organizations will inform the public about the campaign and advise home owners to dispose of old tires, bottles, tin cans and other objects where water can collect and become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
The WHO has also provided the government with 200 fogging machines to spray pesticide in areas where dengue cases have been reported, Ortega said, noting that fogging only kills adult mosquitoes but does not destroy the larva.

| နယူးေဒလီ။ ။ ဒီမိုကေရစီ လိုလားသူ အတိုက္အခံမ်ား ကိုးကြယ္ရာ ဘုန္းၾကီးေက်ာင္းတခုျဖစ္ေသာ ရန္ကုန္ျမိဳ့ ေျခာက္ထပ္ၾကီး ဘုရား၀င္းအတြင္းရွိ သာသနာ့ သိပၸံေက်ာင္းကို ယမန္ေန႔က အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ခ်ိပ္ပိတ္လိုက္သည္။ ရန္ကုန္တိုင္း စစ္တိုင္းမႉး ဗိုလ္မႉးခ်ဳပ္လွေဌး၀င္း အမိန္႔အရဆိုကာ ျမိဳ့နယ္ ေအးခ်မ္းသာယာေရး ေကာ္မတီ ဥကၠဌအပါအ၀င္ လံုျခံဳေရး တပ္ဖြဲ႔၀င္မ်ားက ေသာၾကာေန႔ နံနက္ ၁၁ နာရီခန္႔က ေက်ာင္းတိုက္သို႔ ေရာက္ရွိလာျပီး လစ္လပ္ေနေသာ ေက်ာင္းထိုင္ ဆရာေတာ္ေနရာတြင္ တရား၀င္ ခန္႔အပ္မႈ မျပီးမခ်င္း ေခတၱ ပိတ္ထားမွာ ျဖစ္သည္ဟု ေျပာကာ ေက်ာင္းတိုက္ေပၚတြင္ သီတင္းသံုး ေနထိုင္ေတာ္မူေနေသာ သံဃာေတာ္မ်ားကို ဖယ္ရွားၾကပါရန္ ေျပာၾကားခဲ့သည္။ "မေန႔က မနက္ ၁၁ နာရီေလာက္မွာ ဆိုင္ကယ္ေတြနဲ႔ ေရာက္လာတယ္ မ.ယ.က ပါတယ္ ရ.ယ.က ေတြလဲပါတယ္ အရပ္ဝတ္ေတြနဲ႔ ေထာက္လွမ္းေရးေတြေကာ ၾကံဖြံ႕ေတြ၊ စြမ္းအားရွင္ေတြေကာ ၂၀ ေလာက္ရွိတယ္၊ ညေန (၅)နာရီမွာ ဘုန္းႀကီးေက်ာင္းကို သူတို႔မွာ ပါလာတဲ့ ေသာ့နဲ႔ခတ္ၿပီး ခ်ိပ္ပါပိတ္သြားတယ္" ဟု ေက်ာင္းတိုက္တြင္ ၀ါဆို သီတင္းသံုးေနထိုင္ခဲ့သူ ရဟန္းေတာ္တပါးက မဇၩိမ သို႔ ေျပာၾကားသည္။ ယခုအခါ ဝါဆို သံဃာေတာ္သံုးပါးမွာ ေျခာက္ထပ္ႀကီး ဘုရားဝန္းအတြင္းရွိ အျခားေသာ ေက်ာင္းတိုက္ႏွစ္ခုသို႔ ေရႊ႔ေျပာင္း သီတင္းသုံးေနသည္။ ေက်ာင္းထိုင္ဆရာေတာ္ ေရြးခ်ယ္မႈမွာ အေၾကာင္းျပခ်က္ သက္သက္သာ ျဖစ္ျပီး ျပန္လည္ ဖြင့္ေပးလိမ့္မည္ မထင္ေၾကာင္း ရဟန္းေတာ္မ်ားက လက္ခံထားၾကသည္။ ဒီမိုကေရစီ လိုလားသူမ်ား၏ ကိုးကြယ္လႉတန္းျခင္းကို စစ္အစိုးရျငိဳျငင္မွာ မေၾကာက္မရြံ႔ဘဲ လက္ခံေလ့ရွိသူ သာသနာ့သိပၸံ ေက်ာင္းထိုင္ ဆရာေတာ္ၾကီး၏ စ်ာပနပြဲကို ဇြန္လ(၇) ရက္ေန႔က က်င္းပခဲ့ရာ ရန္ကုန္ရွိ အတိုက္အခံ အင္အားစုမ်ားမွ လိုက္ပါ ပို႔ေဆာင္ခဲ့ၾကသည္။ စ်ာပနပြဲကို အာဏာပုိင္မ်ားကလည္း အနီးကပ္ ေစာင့္ၾကည့္ေနခဲ့ျပီး လိုအပ္လ်ွင္ ျဖိဳခြင္းျခင္းျပဳရန္ စြမ္းအားရွင္ႏွင့္ ၾကံ့ခုိင္ဖြံ႔ျဖိဳးေရးမ်ားကိုပါ အဆင္သင့္ ေခၚယူထားခဲ့သည္။ ၂၀၀၇ခုႏွစ္ ၾသဂုတ္ႏွင့္ စက္တင္ဘာလက ျဖစ္ပြားခဲ့ေသာ သံဃာေတာ္မ်ား ဦးေဆာင္သည့္"ေရႊ၀ါေရာင္ ေတာ္လွန္ေရး" တြင္ ဘုန္းႀကီးေက်ာင္း မ်ားကို စစ္အစိုးရက ၀င္ေရာက္ စီးနင္းခံခဲ့ရျပီး ေက်ာင္းတိုက္အခ်ဳိ့မွာ ခ်ိပ္ပိတ္ခံခဲ့ရသည္။ ေျခာက္ထပ္ၾကီး ဘုရား၀င္းအတြင္းရွိ သာသနာ့သိပၸံႏွင့္ သာသာနာ့ဂုဏ္ရည္ ေက်ာင္းမ်ားမွာလည္း လံုျခံဳေရး တပ္ဖြဲ႔မ်ား၏ ၀င္ေရာက္စီးနင္း ရွာေဖြျခင္းခံခဲ့ရသည္။ သာသနာ့ ဂုဏ္ရည္ေက်ာင္းကို ခ်ိပ္ပိတ္ထားခဲ့ရာ နာဂစ္ မုန္တိုင္းေၾကာင့္လည္း ေက်ာင္းတိုက္ပ်က္စီးမႈမ်ား ရွိသည္။ |

Amar village in Pyapon District was badly damaged by Cyclone Nargis and “Sitagu Team” leading by SITAGU SAYARDAW was in that place for rehabilitation works.
Amar hospital was reconstructed all the way from shambles to workable condition. Sitagu Team provides them with building materials, medical equipments, medicines and medical team. Doctors from Sitagu Sanga Hospital ( Sagaing ) are voluntarily stationed in the hospital and render their utmost medical assistance to desperate and needed people in disastrous area.
But now the latest situation in that hospital was very shameful as Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA) members and local authority plus military personnel are taking control the hospital management and whoever seeking medical assistance are to pay and donate for the services. Power generator for hospital donated by Sitagu team was taken away and installed in the home of local USDA leader.
Please note that all residents of that area are in the state of refugees and they have nothing in the hand to pay for medical service. Sitagu donation is to provide free medical services but USDA tries to make a profit out of it.

အဖြဲ႔ခ်ဳပ္ အေထြေထြ အတြင္းေရးမွဴး ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ကို ဆက္လက္ ဖမ္းဆီးထားသည့္ ကိစၥကို ဥပေဒေၾကာင္းအရ အယူခံခြင့္ေပးရန္ စစ္အစိုးရကို အဖြဲ႔ခ်ဳပ္က ေတာင္းဆိုထားသည္ဟု သိရသည္။ အဖြဲ႔ခ်ဳပ္ ေျပာခြင့္ရသူ ဦးဉာဏ္ဝင္းက “ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ကို ဖမ္းဆီးထားတာ ဥပေဒနဲ႔ မညီဘူး။ မညီေၾကာင္းကို က်ေနာ္တို႔ဘက္က ဥပေဒအရ ခုိင္ခုိင္လံုလံု တင္ျပဖို႔ အဆင့္သင့္ရွိတယ္။ နအဖ အေနနဲ႔ ဥပေဒနဲ႔ ညီတယ္ဆိုရင္ က်ေနာ္တို႔ကို အယူခံဖြင့္ေပးပါ။ ခုိင္ခိုင္လံုလံု တင္ျပတာပါ” ဟု ေျပာသည္။ ယခင္ကလည္း အယူခံဝင္ရန္ ႀကိဳးပမ္းေသာ္လည္း စစ္အစိုးရဘက္က တံု႔ျပန္မႈမရွိသျဖင့္ ယခုတႀကိမ္တြင္ ႀကိဳတင္ ေၾကညာခ်က္ ထုတ္ျပန္ရျခင္း ျဖစ္သည္ဟု ဦးဉာဏ္ဝင္းက ေျပာသည္။ ယခုလ ၁၉ ရက္ေန႔တြင္ အသက္ ၆၃ ႏွစ္ ျပည့္မည္ျဖစ္ေသာ ျမန္မာ့ ဒီမုိကေရစီ ေခါင္းေဆာင္သည္ လြန္ခဲ့ေသာ ႏွစ္ ၁၉ ႏွစ္အတြင္း ၁၃ နီးပါး အခ်ဳပ္အေႏွာင္ ခံေနရၿပီး ၿပီးခဲ့သည့္လ ၂၇ ရက္ေန႔က ေနာက္ဆံုး ဆႏၵခံယူပြဲသည္ “ယံုၾကည္ေလာက္ေသာ၊ က်ယ္ျပန္႔စြာ လက္ခံႏိုင္ေသာ အေျခအေန စိတ္မေကာင္းစရာ ေဝဝါးေနသည္” ဟု ေဖာ္ျပထားသည္။ အေမရိကန္အစိုးရ ေျပာခြင့္ရပုဂၢိဳလ္ (Sean McCormack) က “အေမရိကန္ အစိုးရအေနႏွင့္ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ အပါအဝင္ ႏိုင္ငံေရး အက်ဥ္းသား အားလံုးကို ျပန္လႊတ္ေပးၿပီး ဒီမိုကေရစီ အသြင္ ကူးေပါင္းေရးအတြက္ ဒီမုိကေရစီ ေခါင္းေဆာင္မ်ား၊ တုိင္းရင္းသား ေခါင္းေဆာင္မ်ားႏွင့္ စစ္မွန္ေသာ ေတြ႔ဆံု ေဆြးေႏြးေရးကို စတင္ရန္ စစ္အစိုးရကို တုိက္တြန္းပါတယ္” ဟုေျပာသည္။ အီးယူအဖြဲ႔မွ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံဆုိင္ရာ ကိုယ္စားလွယ္အျဖစ္ ခန္႔အပ္ထားေသာ (Piero Fassino) က “ျမန္မာျပည္က ႏိုင္ငံေရး ျပႆနာကို ေမ့ထားလို႔ မရပါဘူး” ဟု ေျပာသည္။ အေမရိကန္ႏွင့္ အီးယူ ႏိုင္ငံမ်ားသည္ ျမန္မာျပည္တြင္ ဒီမုိကေရစီ ျပဳျပင္ ေျပာင္းလဲေရးအတြက္ ဒီမိုကေရစီ လႈပ္ရွားမႈကို ေထာက္ခံကာ စစ္အစိုးရ၏ လူ႔အခြင့္အေရး ခ်ဳိးေဖာက္မႈ မွတ္တမ္းမ်ားေၾကာင့္ ျမန္မာျပည္ကို ႏွစ္အတန္ၾကာ ကတည္းက စီးပြားေရး ပိတ္ဆို႔ထားေသာ ႏုိင္ငံမ်ား ျဖစ္သည္။ မဲမသမာမႈႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္၍ အဖြဲ႔ခ်ဳပ္က ေထာက္ျပေသာအခ်က္မ်ား ၁။ အာဏာပုိင္တို႔ အေနျဖင့္ ဗဟိုမွ ေအာက္ေျခအာဏာပုိင္ အဖြဲ႔ ဖမ္းဆီးျခင္း၊ ဥပေဒအမွတ္ ၅၊၉၆ ႏွင့္ ျပည္လံုးကၽြတ္ ဆႏၵခံယူပြဲ ဥပေဒမ်ားျဖင့္ ၿခိမ္းေျခာက္ျခင္း စသည့္ ကန္႔သတ္ တားျမစ္မႈမ်ား ရွိခဲ့သည္။ ၂။ ႀကိဳတင္ ဆႏၵမဲမ်ားကို မဲရုံနယ္ေျမအလုိက္ ခြဲတမ္းျဖင့္ ေပးထားၿပီး ျပ႒ာန္းခ်က္ကို ခ်ဳိးေဖာက္၍ ဝန္ထမ္းမ်ား၊ အလုပ္သမားမ်ား၊ အရပ္သူ အရပ္သူမ်ားႏွင့္ ေလေဘး ဒုကၡသည္မ်ားထံမွ ေထာက္ခံမ်ားကို အတင္းအက်ပ္ ႀကိဳတင္ ရယူထားျခင္း။ ၄။ ကန္႔ကြက္မဲ ထည့္သူမ်ားကို ေထာင္ ၃ ႏွစ္ခ်မည္။ ဒဏ္ေငြ တသိန္း ေဆာင္ရမည္။ တရားစြဲဆိုျခင္း ခံရမည္။ လယ္ယာေျမ သိမ္းခံရမည္။ စီးပြားေရး လုပ္ငန္းမ်ား ထိခုိက္မည္။ အလုပ္ျပဳတ္မည္။ ေက်ာင္းထုတ္မည္။ ကန္႔ကြက္မဲ ေပးျခင္းကို တနည္းနည္းျဖင့္ သိေအာင္လုပ္ျခင္း စသည့္ျဖင့္ ၿခိမ္းေျခာက္ျခင္း။ ၅။ မဲ႐ံုေရွ႔တြင္ ယူနီေဖာင္း ဝတ္ထားေသာ ရဲမ်ား၊ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ား ေက်ာေထာက္ေနာက္ခံ ျပဳထားေသာ အဖြဲ႔မ်ားမွ ပုဂၢိဳလ္မ်ား ရွိေနျခင္း။ ၆။ ရဲမ်ားက ေထာက္ခံမဲ ေပးသူမ်ားသာ မဲ႐ုံတြင္ေနရန္၊ ကန္႔ကြက္မဲ ေပးသူမ်ား မဲ႐ံုမွ ျပန္ရန္ အတင္းအဓမၼ ႏွင္ထုတ္ျခင္း။ ၇။ ေကာ္မရွင္ အဖြဲ႔ဝင္မ်ားက အမွန္ျခစ္ထားေသာ ေထာက္ခံမဲမ်ားကိုသာ မဲဆႏၵရွင္မ်ားက မဲပံုထဲသို႔ ထည့္ေပးရျခင္း။ ၈။ အိမ္ေထာင္စု တခုတြင္ တဦးတည္းသာ Arrest of Aung Zaw Ye Myint, Maung Weik and four celebrity accomplices cause stir up amongst their circle of drug users and show business entertainers.
Case was started when an actress “Nawarat” was arrested by authority for drug abuse case and she reveal all connection of fellows users and main distributer / suppler Aung Zaw Ye Myint.

YANGON (Reuters) - Myanmar's junta has released 15 activists arrested two weeks ago for trying to march to the house of detained democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi, the former Burma's main opposition party said on Tuesday.
"One of them phoned me saying they had been freed last night. I haven't met them in person yet," Nyan Win, a spokesman for Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy (NLD) told Reuters.
The 15 were detained while marching from the NLD's headquarters to Suu Kyi's house on May 27 with a banner calling for her release from five years of house arrest.
Hours after the arrest, the junta extended the detention order on the Nobel laureate, who has now spent nearly 13 of the last 19 years in prison or under house arrest. The date was also the 18th anniversary of the NLD's crushing victory in a 1990 election that was subsequently ignored by the military, which has ruled since a 1962 coup.
There has also been no word on the whereabouts of celebrated comedian and anti-government activist Zarganar since his arrest on June 3 shortly after he made public comments criticizing the government's sluggish response to Cyclone Nargis.
"One of the security officers who arrested him came back to question us a few days ago but didn't tell us anything about him," one family member, who did not wish to be identified, said.
Human rights group Amnesty International estimated there were more 1,100 political prisoners in Myanmar before September's crackdown on monk-led anti-regime protests.
More than 700 people picked up during and after the demonstrations remained behind bars, Amnesty said in April.

Following is an excerpt from an interview with Ma Aye Aye Soe, 11 years, who has survived the Cyclone Nargis, together with her younger brother and sister. The rest of her family members and relatives have perished with Cyclone Nargis, which caused hundred thousands death and million homeless in Irrawaddy Delta of Burma.
Voice: Could you please tell us your name as well as the name of village that you have stayed?
AAS: My name is Aye Aye Soe. We are from Pan Nyein Village which is quite a distance from Labutta Town.
V: How many family members do you have?
AAS: Six. Three of us are alive. My father, mother, and a ten years old brother, all of them died during Cyclone. Only the body of my father was found after the cyclone. Also, all of my relatives have perished with Cyclone Nargis.
V: Please tell us the names of your brother and sister who are alive?
AAS: Sister Aye Mya Mon, who is six years old and brother, Ye Thet Kyaw, three years old.
V: Did you go to school? (Before Cyclone)
AAS: No, I was taking care of my younger brother and sister, whenever my parents were (working) in paddy field. Only, the ten years old my late brother went to school.
V: Could you please tell us what actually happened on that day?
AAS: All four siblings and my mother were at home on that day (the day Cyclone Nargis has struck). My mother went to get some rice from my father. (Probably her father was in rice storage). When my mother gets back home, then the Cyclone started. Later our house collapsed due to the powerful wind. Once the house collapsed my mother left us to go and get my father back home. We saw our neighbors started running away after there home collapsed. So we followed them. My brother (ten years old) followed a man who told us that the bridge was still intact,(later found out to be not true) because of that he died. Water rose as darkness fell, and we have stopped running as we did not know where to go. Instead we tried to climb up the trees, but we were unable to reach the trunk of the tree due to powerful wind and high waves. We were almost drowned in the waves that followed the Cyclone. Finally, an uncle from Pan Nyein Village pushed all of us to higher ground. Immediately after that he was struck by very big wave and disappeared. He was found dead next morning.
V: Were all of you (three siblings) together during the Cyclone?
AAS: Yes. We were never been separated. My brother was clinging to my chest while I was holding my sister. We have held each other tight, as we have decided to live or die together.
V: Have you found any villagers from Pan Nyein in this camp?
Yes. Only twelve out of two hundred from our village survived. Only three female survived. Among the children we are the sole survivors. All our relatives were dead.
V: Once you are in this camp, what do you get?
AAS: Rice was distributed; however we did not go and get it as we have no means to cook. If there is porridge distribution we will take it and shared among us. Recently, we receive a daily allowance of 500 kyat (0.5 USD) for me and 250 kyat each for my siblings. With that money we buy food and rice for all of us.
V: Why did you bring your brother to this clinic?
AAS: He was sick since last night. I have given the hydration salt given by the nurse, but he was not getting better. He kept on vomiting and it never stop until now. This morning he pointed some foods, as he seems to be hungry. However, I could not buy them as I do not have money. Now he is getting weak and exhausted due to non stop vomiting.
V: What else do you want to say?
AA: I do not know. My parents and all of my relatives were dead. I can’ think of what should I do next. Now, we eat and wear (the clothes) whatever given to us. For sure I will protect my brother and my sister by all means. I was told that my late brother’s school teacher will come and fetch us soon.

The leader of the Burmese junta, Than Shwe, personally ordered the murder of scores of unarmed villagers and Thai fishermen, according to a senior diplomat and military intelligence officer who defected to America.
Aung Lin Htut, formerly the deputy chief of mission at the Burmese Embassy in Washington, described to a radio station how 81 people, including women and children, were shot and buried on an isolated island after straying into a remote military zone in the southeast of the country in 1998.
After one general hesitated to kill the civilians, fearing that the commander who had given the order was drunk, he was informed that it came from “Aba Gyi” or “Great Father” – the term used to refer to Senior General Than Shwe, the head of the junta.
A few days later troops from the same military base captured a Thai fishing boat that had strayed close to Christie Island in the Mergui Archipelago. The 22 fishermen on board were also shot and buried on the island. “I was a witness to the two incidents in which a total of about 81 people were killed,” Mr Aung Lin Htut, formerly a major in military intelligence, told the Burmese language service of Voice of America. “All of them were unarmed civilians.” In 46 years of military rule in Burma, there have been numerous reports of grave human rights violations but few have been attested by so well placed a source as Mr Aung Lin Htut. They come at a time when General Than Shwe and his regime are coming under scrutiny, after their refusal to allow a full scale relief operation for the victims of Cyclone Nargis.
The French Government has said that it comes close to being a “crime against humanity”, and last week Robert Gates, the US Defence Secretary, called it “criminal neglect”. If a tribunal like the ones established for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia is ever created for Burma, then Mr Aung Lin Htut will doubtless be called to give evidence.
He sought asylum in the US in 2005, along with six members of his family, after a purge against the country’s prime minister and intelligence chief of the time by General Than Shwe destroyed the careers of a generation of intelligence officers. Given the control of information in Burma, his account is impossible to verify. But it has credibility because it is the first time since his defection that Mr Aung Lin Htut has made any public comment on his former masters.
In May 1998 he was stationed on Zadetkyi island, a frontline base close to Burma’s maritime border with Thailand. The commander of the base was Colonel Zaw Min, who is now Minister for Electric Power and general secretary of the Union Solidarity and Development Association, the junta’s grassroots organisation.
A unit led by the colonel landed on Christie Island and found 59 people living there to gather wood and bamboo, in violation of Burmese law. The order came back from headquarters that they were to be “eliminated”.
Myint Swe, an air force general, said that he was a religious person, and that the matter should be handled delicately. He said that he was very concerned by the timing of the elimination order – just after lunch, a time when General Maung Aye, now the number two in the junta, was usually drunk.

NAYPYITAW Myanmar (AP) -- U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Friday(23 of may 2008) Myanmar's junta has agreed to allow "all aid workers" into the country to help cyclone survivors.

GENEVA (AP)--The world's long record of tolerating human rights abuses in Myanmar allowed the country's government to obstruct international aid in the wake of Cyclone Nargis, the U.N.'s top rights official said Monday(02 of June 2008).
Myanmar's military government stopped foreign relief workers from distributing aid around the country in the immediate aftermath of last month's devastating storm, which affected some 2.4 million people. The rules were only relaxed after intense lobbying from U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
"The obstruction to the deployment of such assistance illustrates the invidious effects of long-standing international tolerance for human rights violations," U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour said.
Arbour, who leaves office at the end of the month, made her comments in a speech to the Geneva-based U.N. Human Rights Council.
In March, the 47-member council criticized Myanmar for its record of violently suppressing pro-democracy groups and extending the house arrest of opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The Nobel Peace Prize winner has been detained for 12 of the past 18 years since her party won a 1990 general election that the junta refused to acknowledge.
Western trade unions and human rights groups have called for sanctions against Myanmar, but governments have so far resisted the idea, partly because of strong opposition from powerful developing countries such as China and India.

Buddhist monks beaten; a government minister directing the head of the meteorology department not to issue a public warning after India gave them a 48-hour advance warning of impending disaster; Aung San Suu Kyi's house arrest extended by a year _ all heinous atrocities.
The junta gives priority to a bogus referendum to perpetuate their bloody regime instead of aiding cyclone victims, and still lash out at international donors for not giving enough. The money they want runs into billions of dollars for which there will be no accountability and it will find its way into the junta's Swiss bank accounts, used for bathing their wives and daughters with diamonds, as Than Shwe so shamelessly demonstrated at his daughter's wedding.
Than Shwe and his minions must be brought to trial for their crimes against humanity in an international court before they take refuge in China in the unlikely event of a mass uprising. They have long forgotten how to be human beings.
