I found your blog from ParisDailyPhoto (http://www.parisdailyphoto.com/) and am so glad you are reporting the news. Please let the people know that we are watching and hope that the international community does something besides talk.

I don't think Singapore police give permit to the demonstration. Yesterday, Singapore police interview Burmese citizens who applied for Demonstration permit and asked them not to try again since it has no benefit to Singapore.
I also heard the news that Singapore police asked Burmese people not to continue the prayer services in Toa Payoh monastery next week. It attract a large crowd in this weekend.

Dear Ko Htike,
Singapore government never issued permit to the public assembly.
The opposition leader present at the today's protest is Dr. Chee Soon Juan. (www.singaporedemocrat.org)
No member of parliament showed up at the event.
Please don't give any credit to the wrong persons.

With best regards,
Nyaung Yann Gwa To

Dr. Chee is the well known opposition party leader who is bravely fighting for democracy and human rights in Singapore.

He supports the Burmese democratic movement openly.

No MPs support and sympathize with our struggle.

With best regards,
Nyaung Yann

Singapore is one of the largest ASEAN investors to Burma, its gas pipelines a lifeline to the economy of Singapore. Do you think they care to react against the Juntas which they have inadvertenly propped up?

Good Morning Guys, S'pore great Mr Lee will never allow any democratic congregations, the maximum people to a demo is between 3-5 people and they must have a fully signed permit authorising the demonstration.

S'pore Inc will only support a country where their investment is affected and they could risk loosing $$$.

China - Beijing is also protecting their interest and "friendship" with the junta... the Beijing 2008 games are the most important investment they have to consider and Burma is providing the gas for that event... Will China risk their investment? and most proud project? That is why China does not mix politics with business... yeah...

In My Australia, Mr Howard said that our financials with Burma are very insignificant that we will be wasting our time... meanwhile...

I reckon US and UN are the only ones to grab the junta by the neck and swing them from the choppers out of the country... What will the junta do if the US and UN make a political arrest in Laos?

My prayers to all those that sacrificed their lives for something they believe in...

Oh my dreams of living in a free democracy are to be realised SOON... let's focus -- everything is possible please and let's use our thinking caps to get what we want, let's stop thinking in impossibles... our dream will come true very soon... do not get discourage by insignificant "obstacles"... WE ARE WINNING OUR WAY INTO DEMOCRACY.. the sooner we believe it the sooner we'll grab it and treasure it.

By insignificant I mean, non-approved permits, lack of compassion from principal countries. WE CAN DO IT.
