Shall we boycott to heartless Chinese Government and it Olympic 2008?

Burmese Junta are killing, insulting to world's leaders by telling shameless lying, torturing to it's own people.

Chinese Government is backing up this cruel Burmese Junta in UNSC for their benefit with the blood of Burmese people. You could see what the Chinese's Ambassador Wang Guangya said to UN at below.

I would like to request to Global people -----

Could we show to CHINA that global people don't want these bloody Olympic 2008 games?

Could we tell CHINA that; ..... what is the right way to get their national profit from the happiness of the other people not from Burmese people tear?

Could we ask the CHINA that; ....... could you happy when you see monks and Burmese people have been killed by Burmese Junta?

................................................................................................................

(Quote From bangkokpost)
Sawers and Khalilzad said the situation in Burma is a threat to international peace and security, but that description was rejected by Chinese's Ambassador Wang Guangya, who also opposed a council statement suggested by his American counterpart.

Russia and some other council members preferred Gambari's diplomacy, saying that he should return to Burma as soon as possible. Ban said Gambari will return to that country in mid-November.

Singapore's Ambassador Vanu Gopala Menon told the council that any solution to the problems in Burma must include the military. His country currently chairs the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which has condemned the repression of demonstrations.

"The military is a key institution... that cannot be automatically wished away," Menon said, speaking as Asean chair. "If the military is not part of the solution, there will be no solution."

Burmese UN Ambassador U Kyaw Tint Swe, who also addressed the council, argued that Menon was not speaking as head of the Asean group at UN headquarters, but only in his national capacity.

It is time to Boycott China Olympic to be held in 2008.
Without China's pressure, Myanmar Junta don't much care about presure from it's neighbours and other parts of the world.
China keeps on saying that current unrest/protest are just internal matters and not threaten to regional security. We need to show Myanmar is a threat to regional stability.

In my opinion, we should do regular and strong protest against Chinese embassies overseas at the same scale as we do in front of Myanmar embassies. It might more effective than protesting in other places.
We are doing protest to China occasionally but we need to increase our scale of protest against China.
In the same time, every Myanmar is responsible to do anti China olympic by all possible means together with other foreign lobbyists as 2008 is just around the corner.

Saying that what is happening in Myanmar is "not a threat to international peace and security" is grossly missing the point, and shows a great deal of ignorance on the subject, as the international community is not at all the problem -- the problem is that the fundamental human rights of the peoples of Myanmar are being brutally violated, and that a people's wish for democracy is being repressed by a military dictatorship.

No, the Chinese ambassador is in fact right, because the international community is not at risk at all. But this was never the problem to begin with.

China is merely using a loophole and technicality in the UN's mandate to protect their 'blood' brothers in Burma.

What we need is a New World Order based on human rights and justice where no nation can use it's sefish interests to veto action against a tyrant or aggressor.

The current UN system is a dictator's paradise allowing war criminals all over the world to commit crimes against their own people with impunity and with no consequences. Iran, Zimbabwe, Burma, Sudan etc

The UN is an organisation which above all protects national sovereignty even above millions of innocent lives. As the Chinese always say 'it's an internal affair'.

The UN is only kept in place currently to protect dictators, oppressors, communists and war criminals who use national sovereignty as an umbrella. The UN has nothing to do anymore with world order based on justice and human rights.

Each nation in the UN puts it's own nation's interest ahead of humanity's. That's the way the UN has always functioned and Burma is no different. So don't expect anything except more massacres, more restrictions on your freedoms and more human rights abuses in Burma because there is no-one internationally to intervene without creating a world war and nobody wants to go that far so the Burmese and Chinese oppressors are very happy to work with the UN forever because it means power and control and vast wealth for themselves for generations to come.

I'm with you. Boycott the '08 Olympics, and let's not forget to boycott all those Blood Rubies, too.

Well...this is absolutely necessary to take a critical step to boycott on Chinese government and its Olympics for peace&feedom-loving people. No need to ask what Chinese government should do. It has been an useless and wasteful seat in UNSC for many years. I have changed my mine not to go for Beijing's Olympic in 2008. I believe that the world community will do the same. Let's boycott together on China's Olympics and its goods.

china is in no position to preach other countries about human rights. they themselves have no human rights.
it is a communist country after all. remember what they did to their own students? china doesn't care. china will do what ever it is in their best interest. sadly i don't think Burmese people will get any significant help from any country or any world organizations. if the Burmese people want to get rid of their brutal oppressive government they will have to unite and do it themselves. i am afraid it is going to be very hard and bloody. the current ruling government composed of scared old uneducated guys at the top are going to do anything in their power to hold on to what they have at any cost for as long as they can. but i honestly believe the Burmese people can do it. history would tell us that they did managed to free themselves from the Japanese occupation and the British occupation in the past. to the Burmese people in Burma, do not give up. nothing lasts forever. junta days are numbered.

why did the US and much of the world put their feet into Iraq business when nobody asked them to but when the Burmese people are pleading (and bleeding) for help, the best they can do is send some incompetent idiotic politician there?!
Don't they realise that trying to negotiate with the juntas are like trying to teach a frog to sing? It's a waste of everybody's time and a big disappointment to those who don't already know better.
As a fellow Burmese, my heart dies every time I see how lightly the world is taking the hardship those Burmese people face.

This boycott of the Olympic Games in China seems to live worldwide!
I live in Friesland and I discussed this issue fridaynight with a couple of complete strangers, and we all agreed. I carry a sign with 'Redt Birma'(Save Birma) on the back of my 2CV6- car.

I would advise Than Shwe, and his henchmen, who call themselves soldiers, but are cowards of the lowest degree, to think carefully about their future in a FREE Burma, then they will have to answer for their crimes against their own people.

YES. i for one will boycott china by all means. not just support to boycott the china olympic. i am fully aware that it will not be easy. they seem to make everything these days. their products have made our beloved animals sick and caused many deaths. people are next. http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?
ARTICLE_ID=55892. china has no religion. human rights mean nothing to china. they do not care what is happening to the Burmese monks. just look up what they have done to Tibet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
Chinese_treatment_of_Tibetanspeople.
i am sure there are many good decent chinese people. but china as a country is EVIL.

I totally agree with a boycott of the Beijing Olympics. I just wrote the USOC urging them to have the U. S. team boycott. I also wrote NBC who will broadcast the games here in U. S., pledging not to watch.
