UN in Myanmar: (another) history of failed efforts
On 22 of May 2008, UN chief Ban Ki-moon visited to Burma and to pressure the ruling military junta to allow all international aid. On 23 of may, while he met with Junta Than Shwe, he got the promise that all the international aid would allow into Burma.
But no action has been followed after 3 days from junta Than Shwe's promise. It was a fake promise and another failure of UN effort.

Torching the passport section in Burmese embassy in Thailand is another childish acts of Than Shwe and Company. Faulty wiring comes at a too convenient time when the visas are urgently needed for the International Aid Groups to go in.
This is not a game to play with peoples' lives. About time the junta is tried in ICC in Hague.
